Abstract
This is the case of a middle-aged woman who had a rhytidectomy procedure that was complicated by a postoperative psychotic illness with delusional ideas. Our data suggest that this patient's peculiar vulnerability to rhytidectomy resulted from a specific disturbance of body image.
