Recent Advances in Rabbit Oncology: Diseases, Diagnosis.

This review summarizes neoplastic diseases in pet rabbits, covering tumor types, clinical signs, and diagnostics. Common neoplasms include reproductive (mammary, uterine), hematopoietic, skin, and internal organ tumors, with diagnosis relying on imaging, cytology, and histopathology. In rabbits, reproductive tumors like uterine adenocarcinoma remain the most common tumor of female rabbits, with increased frequency noted with age. Other tumors include lymphoma, benign cutaneous neoplasms, and rare adrenal, pituitary, and gastrointestinal neoplasms. The article emphasizes ongoing research, the importance of early detection, and the need for reporting to improve understanding and management of neoplastic conditions in rabbits.
