Inverted running interlocking suture (IRIS): a technique for rapid closure of wounds.

Abstract
I have used the IRIS technique during the past several years on a number of patients. Impressive time saving, simplicity of technique, and excellent tissue approximation have been observed. The technique also provides transverse and vertical immobilization of the wound, a favorable condition for better healing.
