Abstract
[PURPOSE] To describe a case of iris and ciliary body metastasis from lung adenocarcinoma responding to intravitreal bevacizumab and methotrexate.
[OBSERVATIONS] A 66-year-old man presented with an amelanotic vascular lesion of the iris and ciliary body (7 × 4 mm, 4 mm thick). Fine-needle aspiration biopsy confirmed lung adenocarcinoma. After intravitreal bevacizumab and methotrexate, the tumor showed marked regression within 2 months.
[CONCLUSIONS] Intravitreal bevacizumab combined with methotrexate may represent a minimally invasive alternative to radiation therapy for ocular metastases.
