Abstract
Osteosarcoma (OS), the most common primary malignant bone tumor in children and adolescents, is characterized by its aggressive nature, high metastatic potential, and poor prognosis. The pre-metastatic niche (PMN) plays a crucial role in driving OS metastasis. This review provides an overview of the current understanding of lung PMN formation in OS and its contribution to metastatic progression. By highlighting the underlying mechanisms, this review offers new insights into potential therapeutic targets that could improve clinical outcomes for OS patients.
