Regenerative Scalp Preparation With Stromal Vascular Fraction and Platelet-Rich Fibrin Prior to Hair Transplantation in Lichen Planus: A Case Report.
Abstract
Lichen planus (LP) is a chronic inflammatory scalp disorder that can lead to cicatricial alopecia, making it challenging for hair transplantation. This case report describes a 26-year-old female with LP who underwent scalp preparation using SVF and PRF before hair transplantation. SVF was administered 6 weeks prior, followed by PRF 4 weeks before the procedure to enhance scalp vascularization and reduce inflammation. After 1 year of follow-up, significant graft survival and improved scalp condition were observed without major complications. This report highlights the potential of SVF and PRF in optimizing hair transplantation outcomes for patients with LP.
