The pretragal incision in rhytidectomy.
Abstract
Although an endotragal incision is used in rhytidectomy to avoid a visible pretragal scar, patients may not understand that the superior and inferior portions of the preauricular scar cannot be hidden inside the ear. The endotragal incision is also more likely to distort normal external ear anatomy. The author explains his preference for the pretragal incision and presents his face lift technique.
