Hybrid Gliding Breast Augmentation: The Future of Natural Breast Aesthetics.
Abstract
The 3 components of a natural attractive breast are analyzed to understand the surgical techniques needed to provide natural results after breast augmentation. Hybrid gliding breast augmentation is proposed as a useful procedure to simultaneously reproduce these 3 components, which are shape, cleavage, and movement/feel. The technique consists of the simultaneous use of parasternal fat grafting, a superiorly extended partial submuscular pocket achieved through a biplanar dissection and the use of smooth round moderate profile implants. Adjustments are needed to address specific morphologic situations such as the ptotic breast, the tuberous breast, and revision breast surgery cases.
