【연구 목적】 상악동-사골동-안와 부위에 발생한 종양에 대한 광범위한 절제술(radical exenteration) 후 두개저(craniobasis)의 성형적 재건(plastic reconstruction) 기법의 적용 가능성을 검토하고, 특히 양성 및 서서히 성장하는 악성 종양 치료에서의 임상적 유용성을 평가하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다.

Abstract
Three cases of radical exenteration of spheno-ethmoidal-orbital tumors followed by plastic reconstruction of the cranial basis are described. The technique utilized has recently been developed and described by Derôme and is particularly satisfactory for benign and slow-growing malignant tumors of this region. The indications, preparation and collaborations are described, as well as the advantages and drawbacks to the procedure.
