【연구 목적】 선천성 또는 후천성 상순 변형 환자에서 흔히 관찰되는 큐피드 활(Cupid's bow)의 윤곽 이상을 교정하기 위한 수술적 기법을 개발하고 그 임상적 효과를 검증하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다.

Abstract
The deformity of the upper lip of a congenital and acquired character is often accompanied by an alteration of the Cupid arch contours. The author describes the method based upon creation of duplicating of the orbicular muscle of the mouth which allows to make a more raised and protrusive Cupid arch. Good results were obtained in 18 patients, their follow-up observation being 4 years.
