[Plastic surgery in benign cutaneous manifestations of von Recklinghausen's disease].
Abstract
Plastic surgery is indicated in the Von Recklinghausen disease. In some selected cases known to be stable, it allows to correct or to attenuate the most important malformations. It is a palliative surgery because it can not suppress all manifestations of the disease. It does not constitute in any case the treatment of the disease, but it can lead to esthetic functional results well appreciated by the patients. Plastic surgery concerns accessible benign tumors and, not as it usually known, there is no supplementary risk of sarcomatous degeneration.
