Abstract
[BACKGROUND] Prostate cancer is a common malignancy, with many men on active surveillance for localized, low-risk disease also experiencing lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Water Vapor Thermal Therapy (WVTT) is a minimally invasive BPH treatment, but its safety and efficacy in this setting are unclear.
[CASE DESCRIPTION] We report three men with localized PCa on active surveillance who underwent WVTT for LUTS.
[CONCLUSIONS] WVTT appears safe and potentially effective in treating LUTS, especially in those with lower-risk disease and smaller prostate volumes. Further research is needed to confirm safety, efficacy, and optimal patient selection.
