Abstract 한글 요약
Intestinal disorders, including colorectal cancer, Crohn's disease, and ulcerative colitis, present considerable health challenges due to their complicated pathogenesis and frequently delayed diagnoses. MicroRNAs (miRNAs), which are small non-coding RNA molecules, play a crucial role in regulating various cellular functions related to intestinal health and disease. Abnormal expression of miRNAs has been associated with the onset and progression of these disorders. In light of the clinical importance of miRNAs in intestinal diseases, there is an increasing interest in creating rapid, sensitive, and cost-effective diagnostic methods. Electrochemical biosensors show significant promise in this field, as they are user-friendly, highly sensitive, and can be continuously integrated into point-of-care conditions. This review examines the potential of miRNA-based electrochemical biosensors for the early detection and monitoring of intestinal diseases. We analyze the role of miRNAs in the pathogenesis of these conditions and highlight recent advancements in the development of electrochemical biosensors for detecting miRNAs in intestinal disorders.
